Mom, Jeff, Michele and kids usually join me for fireworks in Santa Monica. This year I was thrilled that Gordon, Cherry, Jeremy and Kristy and their girls Nyah and Sade came along as well. We spent an hour or so at the beach then had a picnic on the lawn. The festivities take place in the school stadium where the kids got balloon creations, tattoos from the police department and hats from the fire department. We then settled into our beach chairs for the fireworks.
Several days later I was diagnosed with Shingles. So far no chickenpox outbreaks in the kids, but we're watching. Call me Typhoid Mary or Shingles Sydney < :-0
