Another Year Older X 3

This post is a little late but I wanted to put some pictures up of our celebration of Michele, Devon and Sydney's birthday. Last Sunday we gathered for Devon's baptism. GK and Susanna were visiting from NYC and were able to join us as well. I'm so happy for the adventure that Michele, Jeff and the kids had in Argentina but I'm even happier to have them home. I missed them!

How did I do it... magic.

Words of Wisdom

Some of you may have seen parts of this already. I know I saw snippits on the local news and apparently it's been heavily viewed on YouTube.
Randy Pausch is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He's 46 y.o., married and father of 3 small children. He's also dying of pancreatic cancer and has been given months to live. Last September he gave his last lecture to his students. Oprah asked him to come on her show and give the lecture again. This is a clip from that show and he wraps it up with a very moving sentiment.
He's a very brave and good man and nothing like a good man facing death to give us words of wisdom to live by. It takes about 12 minutes to watch. I think it's worth the time.

Hey Aunt Becky

Carline and I just love him in this picture. He is just so cute.

Grandma Becky's Bragging Rights

Is this baby not adorable or what?! This is my little Tristan Moon baby (courtesy of Ben and Leigh). I especially love the picture of him looking straight at the camera. It shows his true personality .... one of sheer joy and happiness.

My 5 Sons...Oops, I mean 6!

Gordon had asked me for a copy of this picture but I didn't know where it was. I took it (obviously) many years ago. All I can recall is that it was at a ward function. I lined the boys up and clicked. I had given Gordon and Cherryl a copy but I think something happened to theirs. Going through old photos tonight I came across it. I love it so much and it's a reminder of how fast the time goes. All you wonderful people out there (and you know who you are) with little ones- ENJOY IT! They change fast and the time goes even faster!

President Hinckley

Well, Jenni and Susanna pretty much summed it all up on their blogs. I just wanted to post that I had the utmost respect for President Hinckley. He was an example on many levels of just plain being a good human! And the world is in short supply of good humans... he will be missed!
